Growing up in Maple Ridge, BC, Morgan started dancing at the age of 7 at a small studio. At the age of 13, she was accepted and began her professional training in the Professional Division of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. During her summers, she had opportunity to train with Sandra Holtzappel and Giuseppe De Ruggiero. Throughout her years in the school, she performed the role of Young Clara in The Nutcracker and danced in La Bayadere, La Fille Mal Garde, Le Corsaire, Fairy Doll, and other contemporary works. After graduation, Morgan trained for one year in the RWB’s Aspirant program, performing with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s Company in its productions of Giselle, The Nutcracker and Peter Pan. She also worked with many choreographers, including Peter Quanz of Q Dance.
Morgan loves to perform and show her love for movement – she believes that dance, with its ability to tell our stories and move us, has a transformative and important role in society. Outside of the studio, Morgan loves to create art and paint, hike and explore nature, and horseback ride.
