Born and raised in Grande Prairie, Kylee Hart is a fresh new face to the choreographic scene and debuted her first full-length piece, FIVE, in Citie Ballet’s 2016/2017 season to resounding accolades and sold out crowds. In addition to being appointed Artistic Associate for the 2017/2018 season, Kylee is also celebrating her fourth season as a company dancer with Citie Ballet.
Kylee’s formal ballet dance training began at the age of 6 at the Grande Prairie Dancer’s Academy under the guidance of nationally renowned dancer Nancy-Marie Rigler. After graduating from high school, Kylee trained at the Goh Ballet Youth Company in Vancouver where she had the opportunity to teach through an arts outreach program at a local private school, while supplementing her training with summers at Ballet Austin, the Okanagan Summer Dance Intensive and the Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre in Toronto. She also continues to hone her teaching skills at the Sandra Gray School of Dancing in Edmonton and is excited to be part of this year’s creative team.
